Welcome to Owls Hollow's 1st online contest!
We're thinking about wild, wacky Halloween stuff for this contest, so we call it the "Create-A-Creature Contest". Use your imagination to make a creature from whatever materials inspire you. You can draw, paint, sew, sculpt and even bake a creature! Use paper, paint, boxes, leaves, yarn, clay, an old shirt or even food to invent a creature of your very own.
After you finish your creature project, take a digital photo and submit your entry on our website. Describe how you made it and then vote for your favourites!
The entry with the most votes wins a $50 Owls Hollow Gift Card!

We're wondering what you can make with a piece of paper?
The rules for this contest are simple:
Make something with one piece of 8.5 x 11" paper. You can use tape, paint, glue, etc, but only 1 piece of paper. No buttons or frills, just pure creativity!
After you finish your piece, take a digital photo of it and upload it to our contest page. Fill in your name, title of piece, and other required information and then start voting!

Welcome to the Owls Hollow Portrait Drawing Contest!
I had the idea for this contest after my daughter drew a beautiful portrait of me on a big balloon. A portrait can be many things, for this contest we are asking participants to use their drawing skills to make a picture of someone. Once again, the prize to the 1st place winner of this contest will receive a $50 Gift Card at Owls Hollow.
Here are the rules:
1. Draw a portrait.
2. Take a photo of your drawing.
3. Go to www.owlshollow.com and click on the contest icon. (That will direct you to this page.)
4. Once on the contest page, click on "Submit an Entry".
5. Enter your information and upload your photo. In the description, please tell us who your portrait is about.
6. Once you are ready, click on "submit" (It may take a day to process your contest entry.)
7. And that's all. Except for the voting!

WELCOME TO THE OWLS HOLLOW
MAKE-AN-EASTER-EGG CONTEST!
One great memory I have is of making Easter eggs in Mrs. Chang's Kindergarten class. We squished glue onto a cardboard egg-shape and then sprinkled real crushed coloured egg shells onto our wet glue egg shapes. It was so much fun.
Our contest this month can be as simple or complex as you would like to make it. The rules are simple:
Make an Easter Egg.
After you finish your egg project, take a digital photo and submit your entry onto our website. Describe how you made your egg and then vote for your favourites!
Here are some eggcellent ideas for materials you could use to make an egg with:
1.A real egg 2.paper 3.paint 4.crayons 5.egg carton 6.plasticine 7.styrofoam & sequins 8.feathers 9.cake 10.snow...since we still have lots around! 11. and maybe mud, since we'll have lots of that soon too.
